The Amputator by Draken-leader The Amputator by Draken-leader
The Amputator belongs to Valve

Gave up on making a medigun due to time constraints so here's an Amputator instead! :la:

It is very large, and is made of: many types of cardboard, foam-core board, paper (thick and thin) and of course lots of paint and glue.

It is also surprisingly sturdy too! I have little fear of the handle breaking off, so I can swing it around (as long as I don't hit something)

:O
THIS IS AWESOME!
How do you make it in such a fashion so that it looks so....clean and not expose even a trace of glue?

With areas like the handle I cut strips of paper to the width of the cardboard and glued them over top of all my seams.

Thank you :D

GURL, THIS LOOKS AMAZING.

It's so clean, and oddly enough, it's so cartoon-y looking that it's super appealing~

Wow that's a nice cardboard craft you did there, it looks like wood (well, it's still a derivate) and i see the freehand cut yellow screws, :la: this is my fav medic melee weapon for the colors.
If you hold it correctly and if you can put some reinforcements inside the handle, i'm sure it won't break, anyway take glue with you :D

Very nice! :D I need to use this saw more often in-game. My aim is terrible with the crossbow, though. D:

It does take some getting used too, unfortunately it also leaves you almost completely defenseless at mid-range. But I love it.

This is kind of amazing. :) Gotta love the Amputator, even if I mostly use the Ubersaw...

I mostly play with the medieval medic loadout :D I like being able to not give a damn about whether I'm on fire or not.

...I completely forgot about the set bonus you get from this. Need to remember that next time I'm being harassed by Pyros. xD But yeah, usually I go with Blutsauger, Kritzkrieg, and Ubersaw. Maybe it's time to experiment a little.
